Mary "Joy" (Roberts) Zimmerman, 86, a resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away Friday April 30, 2021 at Accordius Health at Waynesboro.

She was born December 15, 1934 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late McCluren William Roberts and Virginia (Foster) Roberts.

She was retired from Wayne Tex after 25 years of service, and a member of First Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, McCluren W. Roberts, Jr.

Surviving are her son, Tony L. Zimmerman; daughter, Margaret D. Lambert; 3 grandchildren, Joshua R. Cave, Jeremy W. Cave, and Dominique N. Cave; 5 great-grandchildren, Lance A. Cave, Adrein L. Hailstalk, Alayah N. Jackson, Alana B. Jackson, and Amari L. Jones; niece, Christine R. Kivett; nephews, McCluren "Trey" Roberts, III, Scott J. Roberts, and Keith A. Roberts; and very dear friends, Mary, Kevin, Shane and Andrew Moomaw.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday May 8 ^th in Riverview Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Dr. Glen Holman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
