Patricia Morrison of Waynesboro, VA passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 10th in the company of her devoted son and full time caregiver, Gary, loving daughter-in-law Susan and her beloved granddaughter, Katelyn.

Patricia was known for her compassion, sense of humor and unconditional love for her family and friends. She was an accomplished journalist writing for several publications in western Pennsylvania on topics ranging from politics to Bigfoot sightings. She was a frequent lecturer on the Bigfoot phenomenon for school and community groups in the area. Before becoming a journalist, Pat was a professional tap-and-toe dancer performing under the stage name Patty Kelly. The highlight of her dancing career was an invite to audition for the Radio City Rockettes.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Frederick Heupler, mother, Ruth Heupler and her loving husband of 52 years Richard Morrison. She is survived by her sons Gary and Doug Morrison, daughter-in-law, Susan Morrison, grandchildren Katelyn Morrison and Adam Morrison, brother Dr. Frederick Heupler, sister Ruth Dicken and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday May 15, 6:30 to 8 pm at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Virginia.

A graveside service will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro, VA on Friday May 16, 11:00 am officiated by Fr. Tom Collins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of the Shenandoah.

Mom would insist that that anyone attending either event come casual and comfortable. All ties will be confiscated. :)
