Paul Jerome Fisher, 84, a resident of Crimora, VA, passed away peacefully, Monday evening April 26, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 24, 1936 in Augusta County, VA, a son of the late George Henry Fisher, Sr. and Ruby (Moore) Fisher.

He was a painting contractor in Atlanta, GA from 1969 until 1998. When his family's health failed, it required him to return to Virginia.

Paul loved to garden and read.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Paul Jerome "P.J." Fisher, Jr.; and sisters, Mary Smeltzer, Lois Dornell, and Beatrice Desper; brother, George Henry Fisher, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Surviving are his loving wife, Carol Rebecca "Becky" Fisher; sons, Gary Wayne Fisher, Dale Allen Fisher, and James Michael Fisher, all of Shreveport, LA: step-daughter, Ava Orzechowski and spouse John Marshall; a special grandson, Eric Fisher and family, including several other grandchildren; special nephews, Andy Desper and Gary Desper; many more nieces, nephews and friends; and sister-in-law, Emma Lou Fisher.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday at McDow Funeral Home, at which time there will be a celebration of Paul's life in the chapel. It is kindly asked that all attending please wear face coverings.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Augusta Health, Hospice of the Shenandoah, and to his nephew, Brandi Jones and spouse Lucas for their loving care given to Paul.
