Obituary

Paul Franklin Louk, affectionately known as "Bird," age 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Shenandoah Hospice House.

Paul was born on March 12, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Garnet "Garfield" Delores Berry and Harry Leon Louk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael "Puppet" Allen Louk.

Paul is survived by his siblings Terrence Louk (Lori), Mark Louk, and Joyce Louk. He leaves behind his children Paul "PJ" Louk, Jr. (Angelica Becerra), Jeremiah "Chevy" Louk (Taylor White), Tara "Nikki" Louk (Thomas Reynolds), Sarah "Pie" McCoy (Cody Mccoy), and Jessica Louk(Laura Fitzgerald).

He was a proud grandfather to Kailee Louk, Peyton Louk, Colten Louk, Leah Louk, Autumn Louk, Layden Louk, Destiny Johnson (Cam Johnson), Sabastian Clements (Brooklyn Carter), Alston McCoy, Kason McCoy, Cameron Stroop, Caleb Stroop, Gracie Obenschain, and Chloe Obenschain, and a cherished great-grandfather to Hayden, Parker, and Reese Johnson. Also extended family Mary and Gene Brown; adult children Wanda, Genie, Eddie, Phillip, and Allen Brown.

He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved friends Aaron Atkins, Dana Allen, and Devin Kestner, all of whom he loved dearly and shared many memories with.

Paul dedicated many years of service to Gary Fitzgerald Tires, where his strong work ethic and mechanical skills were well known. He had a lifelong passion for working on vehicles and loved spending time fishing. Known as a true jokester, Paul had a gift for making others laugh and bringing light into any room. Above all, he deeply loved his family and his faithful dog, Molly.

A visitation will be held at McDow Funeral Home on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m., with a funeral service immediately following.

Paul will be remembered for his humor, his kind heart, and the love he shared with all who knew him.

For unforeseen circumstances, there will be no public viewing.
