Paul Via 66, of Crimora Va., gained his angel wings on November 1st, 2022 surrounded by family. Paul was a graduate of Waynesboro High School and served proudly in the United States Military. He retired from UVA Medical Center.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Pauline Via, his siblings Bobby ,Rex, Dale, Stanley, Harold, Howard, Ray, Linda, Betty and his daughter Misty Via.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Via. His children Matthew Via,  Paul D. Via, Summer Cruz and husband Tony of Harrisonburg Va,  Aaron Snead and wife Lori of Wood River IL, Jamie Kirby and wife Sabrina of Troy IL, Wendy Southers and husband James of Waynesboro, Va. His siblings, Mike Via and Linda Burch of Bridgewater, Steve Via and wife Chris of Murfreesboro,TN, Loretta Ivey and Husband James of Murfreesboro, TN and Sherry Cash of Waynesboro, Va. His beloved grandchildren, Liliana, Alessandro, Lissandro, Dominic, James III, Presley June, Connor, Colin and several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. The mother of his daughters,Connie Ropert. His special friends, Sammy Batton, Eric and Scotty Armstrong, John and Micheal Stogdale, Denis Martin, Tracy Bradley, Bobby Davis, Abraham, Kay Smith, JoAnn McCauly, and Pat Collins. His loyal companions Spud and Bud.

Paul had a love for Christ and for his family. He had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was contagious to everyone around him. Some of his fondest memories were of being surrounded by family, friends, delicious food, and good music. He cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. He had a love for life that was evident to anyone that crossed paths with him. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, piddling around the house, and tending to his garden and plants.
