Peggy Jane (Fitzgerald) Rodgers, 85, a resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away peacefully Monday January 11, 2021 at her home.

A daughter of the late Hansford and Mary (Taylor) Fitzgerald, she was born January 9, 1936.

For over 40 years, she extended loving care to numerous children in her community with babysitting and daycare.

Mrs. Rodgers was a longtime, and faithful, member of the Waynesboro Free Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rodgers and her siblings.

Surviving are her daughters, Debbie Patterson and husband Larry, Dreama Croft and husband Mike, Tammy Daughtry and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Larry Patterson and wife Lena, Philip Patterson and wife Meghan, Seth Croft and partner Paul DeStefano, Colby Croft and husband Nate Geer, Tasha Sundwall and husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Leyla, Rylie, and Kaelyn Patterson, Kayvan Daughtry and Rylee Sundwall; step-son, Jimmy Rodgers; and numerous other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday January 15, 2021 at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Scott Brodd.
