Phoebe Ramsey Huffer, 87, of Steele's Tavern, Virgina passed away on December 3, 2022 at the Shenandoah House.

She was born in Augusta County near Churchville on October 18, 1935. The daughter of the late Robert J. and Ruby Hevener Ramsey, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was married for 61 years to the late John L. Huffer.

Phoebe was a tax consultant for many years and also a volunteer at Augusta Health.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy Lawhorne and her husband Pete of Stuarts Draft; sons, Randy and his wife Ann of Richmond, and Tracy of Steele's Tavern. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Rickie Thornton (Callee), Cody Thornton, Brittany Williams (Brandon), Kelsey Gregory (Danny), Lindsey Huffer, Hannah Zudilin (Archie), and Chase Huffer; eight great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will greet visitors on Thursday, December 8 at McDow funeral home at 12:45 p.m.  A graveside service will follow at Augusta Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Augusta Health and Shenandoah House for their loving care of Phoebe and her family during her brief illness.
