Robert Franklin "Frank" Hensley, Sr. of Winter Haven Florida and formerly of Waynesboro, Virginia passed away peacefully at his residence in Florida.

He was born November 22, 1936 in Augusta County to the late John Gordon Hensley and the late Carrie Elsie Glenn.

Frank was retired from Winter Haven Hospital and Waynesboro Community Hospital as a maintenance, refrigeration and air conditioning technician and served his country in the US Army. Frank was a long time street rod builder and owner of numerous cars. He loved going to car shows and showing off his "street rods".

He was preceded in death by his wife Frances "Fran" Hensley; two sisters, Marie Fitzgerald, Helen Hensley; four brothers, Raymond Hensley, John Hensley, Eddie Hensley and Leonard Hensley.

Frank is survived by his son Robert F. Hensley, Jr. and his wife Vickie; granddaughter, Brittney Hensley; great-grandson, Lucas Robinson; stepson, Brian Coyner and family.

A Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 18, 2023 at McDow Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Steve Traylor. Inurnment will follow the service at Barren Ridge Cemetery.
