Rodger Lee Turner, 73, passed away Wednesday May 15, 2024 in Charlottesville.

He was born on April 30, 1951, to the late Herbert Lee and the late Mary McFadden Turner in Lynchburg Virginia.

Rodger was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and served as a deacon at Beech Grove Christian Church. He retired from E.I. DuPont Company in Waynesboro after 41 years of service. He loved working on his farm and loved all the animals especially his goat (Lucas) and was saddened when his best friend and shadow "CC" passed last week.

Rodger is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce Rae Falls Turner; son, Matthew Turner and his Fiancé, Molly; grandchild, Alyssa Turner; and devoted cousin J.L. Thompson.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 25, 2024 at Hebron Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Billy Coffey. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Beech Grove Cemetery Fund or Hebron Baptist Church building fund or to Almost Home PET Center in Lovingston.
