Rose Marie
Morris
Jun 16, 1958 — Dec 1, 2025
Waynesboro
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose Morris, a beloved mother, Nana, Aunt Roro, sister and friend. Rose left this world surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of strength, resilience and unwavering devotion to her family.
Rose was one of the strongest women anyone could know. As a single mother, she raised her children with fierce love and determination, always making sure they had everything they needed and more. Her selflessness knew no limits—she was the first to step up when someone needed help, offering support, comfort, or a listening ear without hesitation.
Known for her firecracker spirit and spitfire personality, Rose was a force of nature. She was stubborn in the best way—never backing down from life's challenges and meeting every obstacle with courage and grit. Her laughter, her honesty, and her bold, unapologetic presence will be remembered forever.
Rose loved spending time with her family and friends more than anything. Some of her happiest moments were spent gathered around a table playing Spades, or relaxing at her camper by the beach—her favorite place to unwind and enjoy life. Those simple joys brought her peace, laughter, and countless memories with the people she loved most.
Rose's life was defined by love, generosity, and strength, though she may no longer be with us, her impact lives on in the hearts of her children, family and all who were touched by her kindness. We find comfort knowing she is now reunited in heaven with her mother, sister, brother, and countless family and friends who went before her.
She is survived by her children; Taffy Morris and Dustin Marquez; her two grandchildren; DeArrious Morris-Moats and Deborahn Morris-Moats; great nephew she considered as a son Jashaun Morris; siblings, Della Morris, Mike Morris, and Denise Burgess. Along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
A private graveside service for immediate family will be held on December 20th at 2:00 PM.
She will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
Condolences to the family can be made at mcdoefuneralhomeinc.com.
