Ruby Annette Nichols, 82, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on November 22, 2023 at Augusta Health Hospital.
Ruby is the daughter of the late Edwin Powell Hamilton and Dorothy Fitzgerald Hamilton.
In addition to her parents; preceded in her death are; her husband Henry Frazier Nichols; grandson, Nicholas Lowery; four brothers; Alfred Hamilton, George Hamilton, Roy Hamilton and Tom Hamilton.
Survivors include her two daughters; Annetta Fitzgerald and her husband, Layton and Arlena Nichols Lowery; 5 grandchildren; Layton D. Fitzgerald, Amber Fitzgerald, Amanda Lowery, Ryan Lowery and Jonathan Lowery; three
sisters; Mary Clark, Edna Fitzgerald and Nellie Cash and 1 brother; Mack Hamilton and his wife Carol; Nineteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Ruby earned her degree as a Dental Assistant at a private dental practice where she worked for 38 years.
Ruby loved Jesus and Christmas. She had a deep affection for all of her grandchildren and was known as "MeMe". She loved her bird feeders, especially the Cardinals. Not so much the squirrels. She loved the mountains in the fall, and a good cup of coffee.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday December 5, 2023 at Church On The Hill officiated by Pastor Andrew Williams. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Lowery, Joshua Lowery, Russell Lowery, Aidean Lowery, Christian Hoke, Richard Fitzgerald and James Fitzgerald.
