Sandra Jean (Esworthy) Day, 70, a resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at her home.

She was born January 24, 1952 in Lancaster, PA, a daughter of the late Edgar Lee Esworthy and Frances (Morris) Esworthy.

She was retired from Tyco/AMP, and as a realtor with Real Estate Plus.

Sandra loved working in her flower beds, gardening, and was a talented painter. She loved her family and held them, and many friends, close to her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Stuart Day Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Pete & Camie Day.

Left to cherish her memories are two sons, Henry S. Day III and his wife Loretta, Eric Scott Day and his wife Tiffany; her six grandchildren, Henry S. Day IV, Samantha Jo Day, Haily Day McManaway and husband Devon, Evan Scott Day, Camilla "Camie" Day, Autumn Bartley and fiancé Luke; great-grandchildren, Rowen and Renley McManaway; sister, Linda Fitzgerald and her husband Joe; niece, Laura Roadcap; great-niece and great-nephew, Cody and Kaitlin Roadcap, and friends, Judy, Dee, Linda Thomas, Linda Haney, and Martha Campbell.

As were her wishes, services will be private for the family.

It is kindly asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in her name to the Waynesboro Fire Department, or the Waynesboro First Aid Crew.
