Sharon Ann Shifflett Halterman, 74, passed away Saturday May 4th 2024.

Born on August 9, 1949 in Harrisonburg, Virginia to Carl Vernon and the late Hazel Virginia Crouch Shifflett.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Hazel; brother, Carl "Skip" Shifflett; husband, Albert Halterman.

Sharon was a graduate of Buffalo Gap High School. She worked for the former Oak Hill Nursing Home and the Valley Program for Aging Services in Waynesboro.

Survivors include her father Carl Shifflett of Charlottesville; sister, Deb Reynolds; brother-in-law David Reynolds of Earlysville; two nieces, Alison Soubra (Charif), and Erin Hicks (John); three great nieces, Caroline Perkins, Anna Hicks and Emmie Hicks; two great nephews, Will Perkins, and Layton Hicks; Aunt, Helen Hensley of Harrisonburg and several cousins.

A private memorial service will be held Wednesday May 8, 2024 at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where Sharon had resided for the last 4 years. A private graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. officiated by Reverend John Staubus.
