Steven Wayne Brady, 70, husband of Elizabeth (McCrea) Brady, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at his residence. He was a 1969 graduate of Waynesboro High School and went on to receive his associate's degree from Blue Ridge Community College. Mr. Brady served 6 years with the Virginia National Guard Field Wireman until forging a lifelong career in the banking industry before retiring as service manager from Bank Design and Equipment, was an avid hunter and a lifelong member of the Waynesboro Elks lodge. Mr. Brady was co-owner of Party & Paper with his wife.

He was born on January, 17, 1951 to George Samuel and Lucille Virginia (Morris) Brady who are deceased.

Surviving him is his wife, Elizabeth (McCrea) Brady; son, Steven Travis Brady; daughter, Laura Ashley Turner and husband George Richard, IV; granddaughter, Evelyn Elizabeth Turner; brother, Rick Brady; sister, Sandy Hall and husband Jeff.

A funeral service will be held at McDow Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 officiated by Pastor Billy Cole. Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Travis Brady, Ryan Brady, Sean Brady, Joshua Hall, Derek Hall and Lee Branch.
