Susan L. Mize, age 77, of Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024.  She was born on September 09, 1946, daughter of the late Leo H. Lafferty and Rosalie B. Lafferty.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Mize, Jr.; and brothers, Charles Lafferty and Leo Lafferty, Jr.

She is survived by her children, David S. Mize, Tony Mize, and Dixie Patterson.  She is also survived by grandchildren, Silina Mize, Mason Patterson, and Autumn Evans; great grandchildren, Pearl Blair, Novah Vest, Wrenley Patterson, and Kenden Powell; and sister, Jean Swink.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, VA.  Pastor Richard Owens will be officiating.
