Thelma (Glendye) Baker, 91, a resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Augusta Health.

She was born April 23, 1932 in Middlebrook, VA, a daughter of the late Elbert M. Glendye and Virginia (Campbell) Glendye.

She was retired after her faithful services to Home Instead and the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brent P. Baker; daughter, Tina Marie Toman; and brother, James Glendye.

Surviving are her sons, David W. Baker and Dennis L. Baker; daughter, Elaine Bradley; grandchildren, Kristina Baugher, Danielle Toman, Tiffany East, Ashley Baker, and Brian Childress; great-grandchildren, Blake Childress, Milani Baker, Maddox Bradley, and Mason Bradley; and her beloved dog, "Tatar".

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2024 at McDow Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 15, 2024 in the chapel of McDow Funeral Home, officiated by Pastors Bill Cole and Mark Finch. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
