Velma Glass Sites, 83, of Waynesboro, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2022.  She was born June 27, 1939, in Charlottesville, VA to the late Randolph Lee Glass and Nora Fitzgerald Glass.

In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death by a brother, Randolph (Sonny) Lee Glass, Jr., and a sister, Bonnie Harmon.

Velma is survived by her loving husband, Glen Sites, of nearly 63 years.  She is also survived by a son, Gary Sites and wife, Debbie of North Garden; a daughter, Debbie Sites Spitler and husband, Cecil of Afton; four grandchildren, Jimmy Spitler of Afton, Kimberly Sites Toms and husband, Jesse of Palmya, Ben Spitler of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jacob Sites of Charlottesville; two sisters, Janice Hutchinson of Afton and Carolyn Glass of Waynesboro; a brother, Toby Glass of Afton; and numerous nieces and nephews that all held a special place in her heart.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro, VA.  Pastor Lori Valentine de Segoria will be officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at McDow Funeral Home.
