Wayne Martin Campbell, 82, a resident of Staunton, VA, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at his home.

He was born September 13, 1940 in Nelson County, VA, a son of the late Martin Luther Campbell and Fannie Lillian (Stratton) Campbell.

He loved his work as a truck driver, retiring after 22 years on the road and completing over a million miles. In his spare time, Mr. Campbell was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Lynn Campbell; brother, Clyde Campbell; and sister, Helen Massie.

Surviving are is loving wife of 49 years, Susan Elaine Campbell; sons, Christopher Campbell, Chad Campbell and his wife Whitney; daughter, Lisa Dawn Campbell and partner Jason Brownlee; sisters, Anne Young and Betsy Campbell; grandchildren, Trey, Kayla, Oliver, Peri, and Piper; and great-granddaughter, Renesmae.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday August 17, 2023 at McDow Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Rob Spencer.
