Wayne Lee Sprouse, 88, passed away on Friday June 13, 2025, at home.

Born on May 3rd, 1937, he was the son of the late William Henry and the late May Aline (Morris) Sprouse.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Kitty Faye (Zimmerman) Sprouse; sisters, Agnes Bowman, Connie Pleasants, Irene Shifflett; brothers, Bobby Sprouse and Billy Sprouse.

Wayne loved to hunt with his 243-caliber rifle and played short stop for the Hi Hatter softball team. He retired from Westinghouse – McQuay manufacturing company as a mechanic after 40 years of service and did some mechanic work for Brannock Sales and Service car dealership early in his life.

Surviving family are son, Darrell Sprouse and his wife Tiffany; daughter, Rhonda Whitmer and her husband Paul all of Waynesboro; twin brother, Warren Sprouse and his wife Mary; grandchildren, Connor Jarvis (Emily), Camden Jarvis and his wife Ly, Cadlee Jarvis and Maddie Sprouse, numerous nieces and nephews, special friends Millie Cason, Sandy and Barry Hooker, brother-in-law Gerald Greene and sister-in-law Rita "Cookie" Greene.

Per his wishes there will be no scheduled services.
