William (Bill) Everett Alexander, 79, of Waynesboro, Virginia went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 6, 2022 .

Bill was born September 20, 1943, in Woodstock, Virginia. He was the son of the late Charles Everett and Daisy (Beatley) Alexander.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Judith Alexander of Waynesboro, Virginia her children Michael, Brandon and Tara; 2 sisters, Patricia Strosnider of Strasburg Virginia and Deborah Kaufman (Art) of Georgetown South Carolina 2 children Danny Alexander of Woodstock Virginia and Karen Herrera Bolingbrook Illinois and several grandchildren.

Bill was a gentle kind man of strong faith who loved deeply. He was a lifetime member of the Lutheran church. Bill had wonderful manners and never hesitated to offer his thanks any time he needed help with anything. Bill was a wonderful storyteller. He would always keep you entertained and wanting more. He graduated from the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind. He overcame many obstacles in his life and attributed those victories to the strength of God. As an avid and lifetime New York Yankees fan, Bill is now flying high with all the Yankee greats!

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday August 18, 2022 at Christ Church, 157 South Charlotte Avenue, Waynesboro, Virginia 22980 officiated by Pastor August Lupino.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
