William “Bill” Leonard Sensabaugh, 91, husband of Betty G. Sensabaugh passed away peacefully with family by his side on July 17, 2026.

He was born on November 15, 1934 in Natural Bridge, Virginia the son of the late William Robert and Florence Reynolds Sensabaugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Katherine “Lizzie” Sensabaugh and a daughter Doris S. Harris.

Bill graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in 1953 and married his high school sweetheart, Betty in 1956. He held several occupations including long haul truck driver and most recently a contractor owning his own business and building many houses around Augusta County, Wintergreen and Covington. He was well known for his quality built homes and the attention he gave to the details. He was an avid bear and deer hunter, loved his bluegrass music and auction sales, as well as storytelling and reminiscing with friends.

Bill is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty G. Sensabaugh; two daughters, Deborah A. Tower (Brett) and Sandra K. Bazan (John); son-in-law, Michael W. Harris; eight grandchildren, Steven D. Tower (Sara), William M. Harris (Crista), Ian F.S.Tower (Cynthia), Daniel R. Bazan (Megan), Caleb E. Tower, Rachel O. Gummoe (Ryann), Benjamin W. Harris (Regan) and Tyler L. Bazan; nine great-grandchildren, Havyn, Judah, Lakelynn, Alaiyaa, Mason, Lennon, Grayson, Eliora and Millie; sister, Mary “Tiny” Michael and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday July 21, 2026 at McDow Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday July 22, 2026 at the McDow Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Billy Coffey. Burial will follow the service at Augusta Memorial Park.
