William Robert "Bob" Burks Jr.
November 3, 1961 – June 26, 2025

William Robert "Bob" Burks Jr., 63, of Waynesboro, Virginia, passed away on June 26, 2025.

Born on November 3, 1961, to the late William Robert Burks Sr. and Mary Frances Dickinson Burks, Bob was a proud lifelong Virginian whose dedication to the Buena Vista and Waynesboro communities defined his life.

Bob shared 36 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Leola Cara Huffman Burks, daughter of Carol and the late Phillip Huffman. He is survived by; his son Christian Storm with his partner Jenna Jordan; son Nicholas Ryan with his spouse Emmy Blacka Burks and their daughter Sadie Kincaid; and his daughter Chelsie Marie Burks with her partner Grayson Yockey. In addition to immediate family, he is also survived by his brother Ben with his wife Sandra, along with a host of close extended family members and friends.

A respected businessman and entrepreneur, Bob was the proud owner of Burks Paint and Wallcovering for 32 years. He leaves a legacy of quality craftsmanship which lives on through many homes and establishments throughout the community. He was a faithful member of the Hope Community Church and Rugged Hands, and was always eager to roll up his sleeves for anyone in need.

Bob would never miss an opportunity to exchange stories; he lived to share experiences and reflect fondly on memories made with those he loved. Whether it was through music, casting a line, cheering on the Hoos, or singing HTTR, Bob lived life with passion and heart. Resolved to a legacy of hard work, kindness, and service, he will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his deep love for his family, and his quiet generosity.

A celebration of his life will be held at Hope Community Church, 2910 W Main Street Rd Waynesboro Virginia 22980, Tuesday, July 1, 2025, beginning at 11:00a with visitation an hour prior. Graveside service will follow at 2:00p at Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista, Virginia.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bob's memory to Rugged Hands or Hope Community Church.
