William "Bill" Robinette Kiser, Jr. passed away Sunday May 8, 2022 at his home surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was born July 31, 1925 to William R. and Florence (Linthicum) Kiser, Sr. in Berwin, West Virginia.
Bill was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro. Bill served in the U. S. Navy and was a veteran of WW ll, he was also a Virginia Tech graduate. He retired from High's Dairy in 1989 as general manager and CEO. Bill served as director of several banks in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Denver, Colorado. In his free time Bill enjoyed golf and playing poker with his buddies.
Besides his parents who have preceded him in death are his wife Nancy Cummings Kiser; son, William Ernest Kiser and his wife Susan; brother, Jackson L. Kiser.
Surviving family include; three sons, Jeffrey Stephen Kiser (Daintry) of Snohomish, WA; David Michael Kiser (Vickie) of Stephens City, Va.; Mark Cummings Kiser of Capon Bridge, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Carol Kiser of Martinsville, Virginia; two grandchildren, Brian Michael Kiser (Katherine) of Rhode Island, Jennifer Kiser McCay (Brandon) of Stephenson, Virginia; four great grandchildren, Cameron Cassiano, Chloe Cassiano, Carter McCay, Olive Kiser. Bill is also survived by two nieces and three nephews.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday May 12, 2022 at McDow Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2022 at Hope Community Church officiated by Reverend Dr. Glen Holman with interment following service at Augusta Memorial Park.
Active Pallbearers will be Cameron Cassiano, Sam Layne, Mike Kiser, Jeff Kiser, Brian Kiser and Robert Cassiano.
To celebrate Bill's life you are invited to join the family at Hope Community Church for refreshments immediately following the burial.
